JOIN US for this exclusive interview - a public couch talk, including Q&A from the audience - with the world famous Palestinian artist Nabil Anani. For free.

CULTURAL FRONTLINE
For decades the 75 years old multi-talented artist has been in the "cultural frontline", mixing his art with everyday life, politics, history and the pure beauty of Palestine. Nabil, born in Latrun, raised in Halhul near Hebron, now living in Ramallah, is a Palestinian with capital letters.

NABIL ANANI DOCUMENTARY
During the past months Nabil Anani has opened his home and private studio several times to spend hours talking with communication manager of The Danish House in Palestine (DHIP), fmr. international correspondent Jeppe Nybroe. Very soon these meetings will be published as a new documentary about the art and life of Nabil Anani
It is on basis of these meetings that Nabil Anani now publicly share his passionate and strong opinions about art, culture, life with a live audience.

ORIGINAL PAINTINGS IN OUR HOUSE
Nabil will bring to The Danish House (in Ramallah tahta, just behind Falafel Abu Khalil) some of his original paintings. Moreover his son, Ziad Anani, owner of Zawyeh Gallery, is bringing posters and postcards of his father's art to be on sale, including the new book "Nabil Anani: Palestine, Land and People".

PLEASE NOTICE
Our beautiful old Palestian house is warm and cozy, yet, space is limited, so make sure you come in good time.
We will serve some homemade goodies to eat together with a special, hot and healthy winter drink made by our new director, Helle Schierbeck.

MANY PICASSOS IN PALESTINE
From an article, soon to be published:
- After several weeks of meetings, after many hours talking, after laughing out loud, sharing moments of tobacco and coffee, I ask him what he feels about some people in cultural circles naming him the “Picasso of Palestine” – we sit at the kitchen table, he smiles, shrugging his shoulders almost like an excuse of himself: “No, no, it’s too much, it’s too much. Honestly, we are many Picassos in Palestine.”
